Materials & Durability
The internal frame is constructed from solid beech wood, subjected to rigorous drying and insect-proofing treatments. Joints are doubly reinforced using both traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery and metal screws to ensure long-term structural stability. The seat is hand-woven using natural seagrass rope; the ropes are treated for moisture and mold resistance, offering high tensile strength and abrasion resistance. The seat provides elastic support through the tension of the weave itself—offering a firm sitting experience that resists sagging even after prolonged use. Containing no foam or fabric upholstery, the bench requires no compliance with flame retardancy standards. The base is fitted with non-slip foot pads to protect flooring surfaces.
