Case description

For this project—the Chichiko Bar & Restaurant in Kiev, Ukraine—all dining furniture throughout the entire venue was fully customized and supplied exclusively by our factory.

The project features an inherent design foundation rooted in authentic, exotic ethnic aesthetics. The interior layout is complex, characterized by rugged masonry finishes, irregularly shaped structural columns, and extensive suspended greenery. Consequently, the client faced a unique set of practical challenges: commercially available mass-produced furniture—typically modern and minimalist in style—was incapable of capturing the venue’s distinct vintage ethnic character. Furthermore, the humid environment created by the surrounding greenery posed a risk of moisture absorption and decay for wooden furniture, while the nightly bar and dining operations made the furniture susceptible to liquid stains and surface scratches. The irregular architectural structure meant that standard, off-the-shelf furniture could not be positioned flush against the spatial boundaries, and the venue’s diverse ethnic color palette proved difficult to harmonize with generic furnishings. As a cross-border project, executing the precise replication of natural wood grain textures, implementing effective moisture-proofing techniques, and ensuring exact dimensional alignment presented significant logistical and technical hurdles—any failure in these areas risked undermining the space’s rich, authentic exotic atmosphere.

To address these multifaceted challenges, we devised a comprehensive, integrated customization and procurement solution centered on the core essence of Georgian ethnic design. We conducted a thorough site survey to map the venue’s irregular spatial geometry, enabling us to precisely calibrate furniture dimensions for a bespoke fit. We selected high-density, stable solid wood substrates and applied advanced, deep-penetrating moisture-proofing and anti-mold treatments. We subjected the furniture to rigorous specialized testing to verify its resistance to alcohol corrosion, scratches, and abrasion, as well as its structural load-bearing capacity and long-term durability. We meticulously replicated the rugged, vintage wood grain textures to harmonize with the venue’s ethnic aesthetic, while unifying the entire space through a cohesive palette of warm, vintage-inspired colors. We also prioritized ergonomic comfort to ensure an enjoyable dining and socializing experience for groups of varying sizes. Throughout the entire process—from raw material sourcing and customized manufacturing to cross-border logistics and on-site installation—we maintained seamless coordination, ensuring that the furniture blended naturally and harmoniously with the venue’s masonry finishes and suspended greenery. Upon the completion of the furniture installation, the venue’s rich, authentic ethnic atmosphere was fully realized. The furniture perfectly adapted to the venue’s irregular layout, facilitating smooth and spacious circulation paths. Its moisture-resistant and durable properties proved ideally suited to the venue’s humid environment and the demands of nightly bar operations, while ensuring ease of daily cleaning and maintenance. Even after prolonged use, the furniture retains its structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
