Case Description
Located within the headquarters of Dplus Intertrade in Thailand, this office space features a primary furniture system entirely custom-manufactured by our facility.
The project is set against the backdrop of a headquarters serving as a leading trading hub for electronic accessories. Internally, the space faces the dual challenges of accommodating high-density testing requirements for mobile electronic devices and navigating frequent departmental reorganizations. The client’s primary pain point centered on the accumulation of static electricity—generated by the sheer volume of electronic components during testing—which posed a significant risk of damaging sensitive, precision products. Furthermore, within the typical high-temperature and high-humidity climate of Thailand, the materials used in traditional open-plan collaboration zones were prone to moisture absorption and expansion; this often led to the failure of sliding mechanisms, rendering conventional wooden furniture completely unsuitable for the technical-intensive nature of this office environment.
To address these issues, we implemented a comprehensive, end-to-end static-dissipation structural technology alongside a biomimetic, honeycomb-based moisture-control and “breathing” solution. Beneath the surface finishes of every workstation, we embedded a metal mesh system capable of instantly channeling static electricity safely into the ground. Additionally, we developed a composite aluminum honeycomb panel—engineered with micro-circulation ventilation capabilities—to serve as a superior alternative to traditional medium-density fiberboard (MDF). These solutions successfully passed rigorous performance tests for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection—specifically calibrated for sensitive electronic components—as well as simulated fatigue tests involving tens of thousands of sliding cycles under extreme humidity conditions, replicating a tropical rainy season environment. This ensured that the furniture not only offered exceptional protective capabilities but also demonstrated a level of physical stability that far exceeded industry standards.
The final results were remarkable. This furniture solution—which seamlessly blends robust technical protection with dynamic aesthetics—provided Dplus’s R&D operations with a physically secure and reliable foundation. It not only effectively reduced the rate of accidental product loss during the testing phase but also garnered high praise from the client for its exceptional adaptability to the Southeast Asian climate—a testament to our deep understanding of the specific spatial customization requirements inherent to the electronic trading industry.
