Case description

The dining furniture featured in the main dining area of ​​this free-spirited Western-style restaurant, located in Phuket, was custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.

The project was grounded in the restaurant’s philosophy of embracing ultimate openness and a sense of boundlessness. Consequently, a significant portion of the furniture would be subjected to the direct, prolonged assault of intense coastal UV radiation, high humidity, and corrosive salt mist. The core challenge facing the owner was that standard Western-style dining furniture—in its pursuit of “fluid lines” and aesthetic freedom—often compromises structural integrity. This typically results in slender metal support components becoming highly susceptible to metal fatigue and fracture under the vibrations of sea breezes, while leather upholstery tends to fade and become tacky due to the long-term chemical penetration of sweat and sunscreen residues.

To address these issues, we developed a stress-dispersing anchoring system and a specialized bio-chemical barrier layer. We incorporated biomimetic reinforcement structures at the furniture’s skeletal joints to counteract structural degradation caused by resonance under strong winds. Furthermore, we commissioned marine-grade fabrics engineered to resist chemical and oil penetration. These materials successfully passed rigorous cyclic salt-mist corrosion trials and high-intensity dynamic load fatigue tests, ensuring that the furniture retains both its visually airy aesthetic and its robust physical support capabilities, even within extreme outdoor environments.
