Case description
All dining furniture featured within the main dining area of TelAvivL28—a restaurant situated in Pattaya—was custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.
The project’s objective was to seamlessly integrate the vibrant color palette of the Mediterranean with the specific environmental challenges of Pattaya’s coastline—an environment characterized by high humidity and intense ultraviolet radiation. The primary challenge lay in the fact that high-saturation fabric upholstery and light-colored metal frames are highly susceptible to oxidation, peeling, and fading when exposed to salt-laden, humid air. Furthermore, given the restaurant’s emphasis on a social dining experience involving extended seating periods, the furniture design had to address a common issue with traditional metal furniture: the rapid surface temperature rise under intense sunlight, which can cause uncomfortable heat and a burning sensation for diners.
To address these issues, we implemented a comprehensive solution involving heat-reflective microsphere coatings and anti-salt-spray passivation treatments. We applied specialized infrared-reflective coatings to the metal components to significantly reduce surface temperatures, and we developed a dense, transparent protective film designed to effectively shield against microscopic salt corrosion. These solutions underwent rigorous testing—including a 1,000-hour simulated extreme coastal climate cycle test and dynamic thermal conductivity rate assessments—to ensure that the furniture would remain cool to the touch and retain its vibrant visual aesthetics, even under intense outdoor sunlight.
The results were outstanding. This bespoke furniture collection—distinguished by its exceptional physical durability and authentic Mediterranean aesthetic—perfectly complements the restaurant’s vibrant social atmosphere. It not only alleviated the owner’s concerns regarding the premature wear and tear typically associated with outdoor furniture but also significantly increased the average customer dwell time through its unparalleled comfort. Ultimately, the project garnered high acclaim from the brand for its exemplary fusion of functionality and environmental adaptability.
