Case Description

Our factory supplied all the office furniture for the conference rooms, administrative offices, and student dormitories at Xi’an Jiaotong University.

As a renowned university of national importance—one of the first institutions selected for the “Project 211,” “Project 985,” and the “Double First-Class” Initiative (Class A)—the university possesses both a deep-rooted educational heritage and cutting-edge research capabilities. Its core challenge lay in the highly divergent furniture requirements across its various spaces: balancing the dignified formality required for administrative offices, the academic suitability needed for conference rooms, and the safety and practicality essential for student dormitories. The furniture had to comply with the university’s strict environmental and safety standards while simultaneously facilitating efficient administrative work, accommodating diverse discussion scenarios in conference rooms, and meeting the durability, convenience, and spatial integration needs of student dormitories. Traditional off-the-shelf furniture proved incapable of reconciling the distinct requirements of these three types of spaces; it either failed to meet safety standards for dormitories or struggled to support the academic discussion functions of conference rooms. Furthermore, generic custom furniture often lacked the necessary specificity, leading to issues such as inconsistent quality, wasted space, and poor spatial integration—shortcomings that failed to align with the high-end positioning of the university’s “Double First-Class” development initiative.

Leveraging the capabilities of our direct-source manufacturing facility, we provided precision-tailored solutions to address the distinct requirements of each space. We selected high-quality panel materials that are both environmentally friendly and durable, fully complying with university standards. Every piece of furniture underwent rigorous testing for environmental compliance, abrasion resistance, load-bearing capacity, and safety to eliminate any potential hazards. The furniture in the administrative offices features a simple, orderly design optimized for efficient workflow and document storage. The conference rooms are furnished with modular, reconfigurable units designed to accommodate diverse scenarios—ranging from academic seminars to university-industry collaborations—while providing designated space for projection screens and discussion equipment. The student dormitory furniture prioritizes both safety and practicality; its dimensions are meticulously optimized to fit the dormitory layout, and all edges are fully rounded and polished to prevent accidental bumps and injuries. Furthermore, we innovatively employed digital precision surveying technology to ensure a perfect spatial fit for every piece of furniture. By adopting a large-scale production model, we guaranteed the efficiency of bulk deliveries and provided a comprehensive, one-stop service encompassing design, manufacturing, installation, and post-installation maintenance—ensuring that our solutions remained perfectly aligned with the university’s needs at every stage of the process.

Following the project’s completion, the custom-made furniture precisely met the spatial usage requirements—being eco-friendly, safe, durable, and practical. It not only underscored the university’s dignified ethos but also fulfilled the core needs of administrative offices, academic seminars, and student residences, thereby effectively enhancing both the working and living environments.
