Case description
Dieze, a creative fusion restaurant located in Cairo, Egypt, crafts an immersive dining experience through a blend of vintage industrial aesthetics and an artistic ambiance. Our company provided both the design and supply services for the restaurant’s lighting fixtures as well as its entire range of custom-made dining area furniture.
In the project’s initial stages, the client faced several common industry pain points associated with customizing a creative restaurant space. Given the restaurant’s focus on creating an artistic setting, the dining tables, chairs, booth seating, and custom lighting fixtures required a high degree of synergy in terms of style, scale, and lighting effects. Standard off-the-shelf furniture and lighting products proved incompatible with unique design elements—such as curved windows and vintage lighting installations—often resulting in a disjointed atmosphere. Furthermore, Cairo’s arid and dusty climate—combined with the restaurant’s high foot traffic and extended operating hours—imposed rigorous demands on the stain resistance and durability of furniture fabrics, as well as the dust resistance and longevity of the lighting fixtures. Ordinary materials were prone to premature aging and fading, leading to prohibitively high maintenance costs in the long run. Additionally, the cross-category procurement process was cumbersome; with furniture and lighting suppliers often scattered, synchronizing delivery schedules became a challenge. This not only prolonged the project timeline but also jeopardized the consistency of the overall aesthetic and compliance with local safety regulations—factors that directly impacted the restaurant’s scheduled opening date.
Leveraging the cross-category customization capabilities of our own manufacturing facilities, we developed a comprehensive, integrated solution for the project. During the preliminary phase, our team became deeply involved in the restaurant’s artistic scene design process. Aligning with the vintage industrial theme, we simultaneously developed the dining area furniture and custom lighting fixtures. For the dining area tables and chairs, we selected matte solid wood tabletops paired with metal frames; the upholstered booth seating featured stain-resistant and highly durable velvet fabric. The color palette was carefully chosen to harmonize with the restaurant’s warm-toned lighting and vintage brick walls, ensuring the furniture could withstand high-frequency use while simultaneously enhancing the space’s artistic ambiance. The custom lighting fixtures were engineered with dust-proof sealed structures and high-temperature-resistant light sources, while the metal frames underwent rust-proofing treatments to echo the metal detailing found in the furniture, thereby creating a cohesive visual language. All products—from R&D and prototyping to final production—were manufactured entirely within our own facilities, adhering strictly to commercial-grade quality control standards and utilizing materials certified to meet local Egyptian safety and environmental regulations. Furthermore, through our comprehensive “one-stop service,” we seamlessly integrated the entire workflow—encompassing design, production, logistics, and installation—for both furniture and lighting. This approach ensured synchronized delivery schedules, eliminated potential errors arising from coordinating multiple vendors, and ultimately guaranteed that the restaurant opened on schedule. Upon the project’s completion, the restaurant’s furniture and lighting fixtures achieved a seamless integration. Vintage-style lighting installations harmonized with the dining area furnishings to create an artistically charged dining ambiance, characterized by stylistic coherence and unified material quality. Furthermore, the use of stain-resistant, wear-resistant furniture fabrics and dust-proof lighting fixtures ensures long-term durability and stability, significantly reducing the restaurant’s maintenance costs. The client highly praised our cross-category customization capabilities, our restaurant-grade quality control standards, and our efficient, synchronized delivery services. They noted that our comprehensive, factory-direct service model effectively resolved the core pain points associated with sourcing creative restaurant furniture and lighting, enabling us to craft a bespoke solution for the restaurant that successfully balances aesthetic atmosphere, durability, and operational efficiency.
