Case Description
Our factory supplied all the furniture for dLocal’s new office in Montevideo, Uruguay—covering the open-plan workspace, global collaboration conference center, executive offices, employee lounge and collaboration zones, and data operations area.
As a U.S.-listed, Uruguay-headquartered cross-border payment platform operating across numerous emerging markets worldwide, dLocal required a new office space that harmonized global collaboration needs, the brand’s ethos of simplicity and efficiency, and the local architectural aesthetics of Montevideo. Furthermore, the space needed to accommodate the specific operational demands of cross-border payment data processing and multilingual team collaboration. The core challenge lay in sourcing office furniture capable of intelligently facilitating remote collaboration among global teams, aligning with the brand’s minimalist visual identity, and seamlessly integrating the fluid architectural lines characteristic of Montevideo—all while ensuring the privacy and security of payment data processing. Traditional office furniture often lacks the necessary intelligent adaptability to meet the high-efficiency demands of multilingual collaboration and remote conferencing; moreover, it frequently fails to strike a balance between brand identity and local architectural aesthetics. Furthermore, standard cross-border customization projects often face issues such as lengthy lead times, material incompatibility with local climates, and a lack of cultural resonance—making them ill-suited to support the scale and global operational scope required by a publicly traded company.
Leveraging our capabilities as a direct-source factory specializing in cross-border customization and technological innovation, we created a solution that deeply resonates with dLocal’s brand philosophy of “simplicity, efficiency, and collaborative innovation.” We drew inspiration from the fluid curves of Montevideo’s local architecture, integrating these elements with the brand’s minimalist visual guidelines. We selected lightweight, eco-friendly, and durable panel materials specifically suited to the local climate. All furniture underwent rigorous testing for abrasion resistance, environmental compliance, interference shielding, and privacy protection to ensure the utmost security for data operations. To address global collaboration requirements, we equipped the conference center with smart furniture solutions featuring integrated multilingual translation capabilities and high-definition remote screen-sharing technology. The open-plan workspace features modular, reconfigurable workstations designed to facilitate flexible working arrangements and team collaboration. For the data operations area, we custom-designed specialized furniture featuring privacy partitions and interference-shielding designs. The executive area was furnished with a custom suite of pieces that exude a simple yet sophisticated grandeur, serving both functional and representational purposes. Finally, we established a dedicated cross-border logistics and localized installation system to optimize production timelines and ensure that the furniture perfectly fits the new office layout and meets all global operational requirements.
Following the project’s completion, the new office space features a minimalist, fluid design that seamlessly blends a global aesthetic with local sensibilities. The furnishings—characterized by their smart functionality, convenience, safety, and durability—are precisely tailored to meet the demands of multilingual collaboration, remote work, and data operations. This design effectively enhances the collaborative efficiency of the global team while safeguarding the privacy and security of payment data processing. Furthermore, the space perfectly conveys dLocal’s distinct brand identity, earning high acclaim from both dLocal’s global operations team and its local office in Uruguay. They recognized that the furniture design precisely addresses their dual requirements for global operations and local integration, thereby facilitating the creation of an efficient, collaborative, and distinctive office environment—a success that has established us as their core partner for cross-border custom office furniture solutions.
