Our factory served as the exclusive supplier for the movable furniture across the key spaces of the Sofitel Tamuda Bay Beach & Spa in Tangier, Morocco—including guest rooms, executive suites, the spa, the lobby and public lounges, restaurants, and luxury bathrooms. By seamlessly blending French elegance with North African flair, we crafted a bespoke furniture scheme for this seaside resort that excels in both aesthetic quality and structural durability.
During the project’s initial phase, the client faced several distinct challenges. As a flagship high-end seaside resort under the Sofitel brand, the hotel is grounded in the “French Art de Vivre” while deeply integrating local Moroccan cultural elements. Consequently, the furniture was required to simultaneously embody the refined lines and soft textures of French design and echo the vibrant color palettes and artisanal details of North Africa—a fusion that standard off-the-shelf furniture struggles to balance effectively, often resulting in visual discord. Furthermore, the unique coastal environment of Tangier—characterized by high humidity and intense salt spray—imposed rigorous demands on the furniture’s moisture resistance, corrosion protection, and anti-aging properties. Ordinary materials are prone to issues such as wood warping, fabric fading, and metal corrosion, which would significantly inflate maintenance and operational costs. Additionally, the functional requirements for the hotel’s various spaces differed significantly: guest rooms required a soft, tranquil ambiance; the spa zone demanded relaxation and comfort; the restaurant needed to be vibrant and robust; and bathrooms required complete water and moisture resistance. Balancing stylistic consistency across these diverse zones with their specific functional needs presented a significant challenge. Moreover, given the strict standards of an international hotel chain regarding quality control, environmental compliance, and delivery timelines, sourcing from multiple vendors risked resulting in inconsistent quality and schedule delays—factors that could jeopardize the hotel’s scheduled opening date.
Leveraging the advantages of our in-house factory’s end-to-end customization capabilities and our specialized manufacturing processes tailored for coastal environments, we developed a targeted solution specifically designed to address the unique requirements of this project. In terms of design, we achieved a deep integration of Sofitel’s French heritage with local Moroccan aesthetics. For the guest rooms and executive suites, we custom-crafted solid wood bed frames with graceful contours and upholstered sofas; the upholstery fabrics incorporate North African geometric patterns, paired with warm-toned wooden frames to strike a perfect balance between French elegance and regional flair. Furniture in the spa center utilizes water-resistant and corrosion-proof materials; the loungers and relaxation area furnishings feature breathable, mildew-resistant fabrics in low-saturation color palettes, creating a serene and relaxing wellness atmosphere. Restaurant furniture features scratch-resistant, durable tabletops and high-resilience seating; the color scheme echoes the hotel’s vibrant energy, designed to withstand high-frequency usage. Bathroom furnishings employ moisture-proof, water-resistant panels and rust-proof hardware, specifically adapted to humid environments. Regarding materials, all furniture undergoes rigorous salt spray testing and moisture-proofing treatments. We utilize FSC-certified eco-friendly substrates and fabrics treated for UV and salt spray resistance, while metal components receive multi-layer anti-rust coatings, strictly adhering to international environmental and fire-retardancy standards. Throughout the production process, we combine precision CNC cutting with meticulous hand-finishing. We provide a comprehensive, one-stop service—spanning design, prototyping, manufacturing, logistics, and installation—to ensure absolute consistency in style, color palette, and craftsmanship across the entire property, guaranteeing efficient and punctual delivery.
Since the project’s completion, the entire furniture collection has seamlessly blended with the hotel’s French-North African aesthetic.
