Case description

All dining furniture situated within the main area of ​​the “Transit Station No. 8” café in Thailand was custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.

The client’s primary challenge stemmed from the venue’s nature as a semi-open transit hub—a high-traffic node characterized by brief visitor stays. The ceaseless flow of travelers, often accompanied by heavy luggage and hard-shelled equipment, meant that the furniture’s bases and support structures were highly susceptible to frequent impacts and abrasions. Furthermore, the transit station’s inherently high-decibel ambient noise and mechanical vibrations tended to generate jarring acoustic feedback within the café’s expansive, industrial-style interior; consequently, traditional café furniture—typically designed for visual lightness—proved incapable of meeting the long-term operational demands regarding both impact resistance and acoustic noise reduction.

In response, we developed an “industrial-grade impact-resistant armor” and a “microporous energy-absorbing acoustic system.” We innovatively incorporated high-performance polymer memory-foam cushioning and concealed metal edge-guarding into the furniture’s critical support points. Additionally, in collaboration with a specialized laboratory, we developed a composite tabletop surface featuring diffuse-reflection sound-dampening properties—specifically tailored to the café environment. This system successfully passed rigorous testing, including simulations of high-frequency impacts from heavy checked luggage and resonance suppression tests within complex acoustic environments, thereby ensuring that the furniture retains its refined metallic aesthetic while effectively mitigating interior noise levels, even amidst extremely high foot traffic.

Since the project’s launch, this furniture system—which aligns perfectly with the transit station’s “hardcore” industrial aesthetic—has not only withstood the severe wear and tear inherent to a demanding commercial environment through its exceptional structural reliability but has also, through a scientifically engineered blend of materials, created an unexpectedly tranquil sanctuary for weary travelers. The client has lauded this design for its ability to precisely weave the refined sensibility of precision manufacturing into a rugged industrial narrative, achieving a perfect symbiosis between a high-traffic public space and the sophisticated ambiance of a premium dining establishment.
