Case Description

Our factory supplied the furniture for the primary administrative and clinical support areas at the Women’s Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. This scope encompassed nurse stations, physician offices and consultation rooms, multidisciplinary consultation zones, administrative offices, and waiting areas for women and children.

As a Grade 3A specialized hospital for obstetrics and gynecology, the facility experiences high traffic volume and serves a unique patient demographic. Consequently, the requirements for furniture safety, hygiene, and environmental standards far exceed those of standard office environments. Conventional furniture often emits odors, features sharp edges, and is difficult to disinfect; moreover, the diverse functional requirements across different hospital zones make unified planning challenging, while decentralized procurement tends to result in a cluttered overall environment that fails to align with the hospital’s positioning as a warm yet professional institution.

To address these challenges, we utilized medical-grade, eco-friendly, formaldehyde-free panel materials paired with antimicrobial and stain-resistant surface finishes. All furniture underwent rigorous testing for formaldehyde emissions, abrasion resistance, antimicrobial efficacy, and collision safety. The overall design incorporates rounded, blunt-edged profiles to prevent accidental bumps and injuries, while storage layouts and work surfaces were optimized to align seamlessly with clinical workflows. This approach ensured stylistic consistency and functional suitability throughout the entire hospital, with our factory’s large-scale customization capabilities guaranteeing efficient delivery and consistent quality.

Since the project’s completion, the hospital’s environment has become notably safer, softer in aesthetic, and easier to maintain. The furniture has retained its excellent condition despite long-term, high-frequency usage, effectively enhancing both clinical work efficiency and patient comfort. This outcome has garnered unanimous praise from both the hospital’s management team and its frontline medical staff.
