Case description
As specialists in custom hotel furnishings, we provided high-end bespoke furniture services for the Wyndham Doha West Bay project, covering the all-day dining restaurant, executive lounge, and public social areas.
Situated in Doha’s central business district, the hotel faces significant operational demands driven by frequent business banquets and a high volume of long-stay expatriate guests. The client’s primary challenge lay in reconciling two seemingly contradictory requirements within a limited, multi-functional dining space: achieving “high-density seating arrangements” while simultaneously ensuring “social privacy.” Furthermore, the extensive glass curtain walls characteristic of the Doha West Bay area result in intense natural lighting; consequently, the interior furniture is subjected to prolonged exposure to strong ultraviolet (UV) radiation. This exposure typically causes standard finishes to suffer from localized discoloration and paint embrittlement—issues that would inevitably compromise the brand image of a five-star hotel.
We implemented a dual-pronged strategy combining spatial optimization with weather-resistant protection. For enclosed booth seating and high-backed dining chairs, we applied ergonomic modular adjustments to the backrest angles and cushioning thickness. This approach created a sense of physical enclosure that enhanced seating privacy without increasing the overall floor footprint. In terms of materials and craftsmanship, we utilized our proprietary UV-resistant PU sealing lacquer technology. This specialized coating incorporates high-efficiency light stabilizers that effectively block UV radiation, thereby preventing damage to the underlying wood fibers. To address the frequent furniture relocation required in public areas, we fitted the furniture bases with discreet, high-polymer anti-abrasion glides; these not only protect the expensive marble flooring but also eliminate noise generated during movement.
The hotel’s operations team reported that this collection of custom furniture has not only perfectly adapted to Doha’s intense lighting environment but has also shown absolutely no signs of visual degradation since its installation. Through judicious furniture selection and layout planning, the restaurant’s effective seating capacity was increased by 15%, while guest satisfaction regarding dining privacy saw a significant improvement. The property owner commended us not merely as manufacturers, but as solution providers who possess a deep understanding of the operational logic inherent to the hospitality industry.
