For the Wyndham Residences The Palm project on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, our factory was responsible for the custom fabrication of all loose furniture—including pieces for the full-sea-view guest rooms, open-plan living areas, and leisure zones.

As a high-end serviced apartment complex, the furniture faces the inherent challenges of frequent use by family guests—specifically, the risk of physical impact and staining. The client’s primary concern centered on a critical pain point: how to ensure that light-colored furniture—situated in a high-salinity coastal environment—could maintain both its visual lightness and structural integrity despite frequent cleaning and constant load-bearing demands, while simultaneously preventing the premature aging of finishes caused by corrosive sea breezes.

We implemented a targeted engineering solution to address these issues. For pieces featuring slender silhouettes—such as bar stools, dining tables, and sofas—we utilized an integrated industrial-grade tensile framework internally; this ensures exceptional load-bearing capacity even within a delicate, minimalist form factor. For the surface finishes, we selected molecular-level hydrophobic fabrics, allowing for the instant and effortless removal of liquid spills with a simple wipe. Furthermore, we employed a salt-mist-resistant edge-banding technique to protect the core of the woodwork, effectively blocking moisture penetration at the source and ensuring the furniture retains its pristine, high-precision quality throughout periods of intensive operational use.

The Wyndham management team offered the following assessment: “This collection of furniture successfully marries resort-style aesthetics with exceptional durability, significantly reducing the burden of ongoing maintenance and logistics.” By applying industrial-grade standards to the execution of a “light luxury” design, we have successfully assisted the property owner in achieving the long-term preservation of their asset’s value.
