Case Description

Our factory provided a comprehensive, custom office furniture solution for the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group headquarters, covering the private executive zones, the semi-circular artistic conference hall, the tiered central atrium, and the linear collaborative workspace wings. Our key products included ultra-long-span “floating” executive desks, seamlessly molded streamlined conference tables, custom acoustically upholstered sofas, and high-gloss metal-finished storage units. By deeply integrating the gravitas of a traditional enterprise with the fluid aesthetics of contemporary art, we successfully balanced the sense of corporate prestige with the efficiency of a futuristic workspace—all within the sculptural environment crafted by Abin Studio.

A core challenge inherent in this project lay in the structural engineering required to support exceptionally large, irregularly shaped furniture pieces, as well as the task of embedding ultra-high-density, intelligent technological configurations while maintaining a minimalist visual aesthetic. The client’s primary concerns stemmed from the nature of a top-tier corporate headquarters: the space featured numerous curved, cantilevered desk surfaces—some spanning several meters—that lacked intermediate structural supports. Relying on conventional internal reinforcement methods would have resulted in a drastic increase in thickness, thereby compromising the design’s intended sense of visual lightness. Furthermore, the headquarters’ senior leadership demanded exceptionally high standards regarding meeting privacy and audiovisual integration. The client was concerned that the installation of various lift-screens, embedded microphones, and extensive cabling would fragment the artistic integrity of the furniture surfaces. Additionally, against the backdrop of the interior’s high-gloss stone finishes, even the slightest seam or joint in any material would be visually magnified, creating unsightly aesthetic flaws.

To address these challenges, our factory implemented aerospace-grade internal skeletal balancing technology alongside a “vanishing” digital integration process. Specifically for the ultra-long cantilevered countertops, we developed a specialized honeycomb panel structure reinforced with internal carbon fiber ribs. This innovation allowed us to achieve an unsupported span of up to 5 meters while maintaining a countertop thickness of a mere 30mm. Furthermore, the structures underwent rigorous precision testing for horizontal displacement and compressive strength to ensure that, even under long-term load-bearing conditions, no physical deformation visible to the naked eye would occur. In terms of intelligent integration, we introduced CNC laser-concealed cutting technology to seamlessly embed all multimedia ports and touch-sensitive control panels beneath the leather or solid wood surfaces; functional elements remain hidden, emerging only through a gentle touch via a mechanical push-and-pull mechanism. To ensure visual integrity, we employed a 3D laser-guided grain-matching technique, guaranteeing the continuous flow of surface textures across all curved furniture pieces—a quality that successfully passed rigorous adhesion tests conducted under high-humidity and high-temperature conditions.

The project outcome demonstrates that the custom furniture has successfully transformed into sculptural forms that flow dynamically within the space, creating a deeply layered sensory contrast between the warm, tactile wood grain and the cool, composed surfaces of stone and metal.
