Case Description

Our factory provided a comprehensive, custom office furniture solution for Enocta, covering everything from open-plan matrix workspaces and multifunctional collaborative pods to tiered seminar halls and mobile project workstations. Our key deliverables included modular linear desks, semi-transparent acoustic enclosure units, multi-tiered timber seating platforms, and integrated smart locker systems. By deeply integrating the dynamic nature of an EdTech company with minimalist industrial geometry—all within a bright, airy space designed by Acararch—we achieved a perfect balance between high-level team interaction and focused individual work.

The core challenge underlying this project lay in addressing the “power-on-demand” requirements inherent in a non-assigned seating model, as well as managing acoustic reflections within a large space featuring exposed ceilings. The client’s primary pain point was this: as a leading online education provider, their team structure is highly agile and frequently requires immediate cross-departmental reconfiguration. Traditional fixed floor outlets severely restricted furniture layout flexibility, resulting in prohibitively high costs for spatial adjustments. Furthermore, the interior utilized extensive hard surfaces—specifically self-leveling concrete flooring and glass walls—which created an extremely noisy acoustic environment. Employees reported significant difficulty conducting prolonged online course recordings or engaging in deep-focus discussions within the open-plan areas. Consequently, the client urgently required a furniture system that offered both mobility and autonomous noise reduction capabilities. Additionally, given the specific climatic conditions of a Moscow/Istanbul-style urban environment, the solution needed to address the structural stability issues associated with the seasonal expansion and contraction of metal components and extensive timber elements.

To address these challenges, our factory implemented a solution featuring integrated track-based power busbar technology combined with a soft-material acoustic coupling scheme. To resolve the mobile power supply dilemma, we developed a system for all collaborative tables that combines independent desktop power hubs with a concealed under-table conductive track system; employees can now access power at any location simply by connecting via a magnetic adapter, thereby completely liberating the workspace from the constraints of floor-mounted cabling. Regarding acoustic optimization, we custom-fabricated enclosure screens featuring perforated sound-absorbing panels of varying densities on each side, coupled with high-resilience felt materials. These screens successfully passed rigorous testing designed to eliminate standing waves generated by the superposition of multiple sound sources, effectively transforming each collaborative pod into an independent, acoustically optimized unit. To ensure material stability, we introduced a composite construction process utilizing prestressed metal-and-wood frameworks. This method employs lightweight steel as a structural core, sheathed in solid wood veneers that have undergone an extended, rigorous stabilization treatment. This design guarantees that the furniture maintains absolute geometric precision—even within the dry, air-conditioned environments typical of modern offices—and has successfully withstood simulated heavy-load caster sliding tests totaling 5,000 cycles.

The project results demonstrate that the custom furniture has successfully transformed into “breathing functional units” within the space; their warm, light-wood tones and cool, mint-green color palette significantly alleviate the visual fatigue associated with prolonged office work. As the client noted: by fundamentally rethinking the underlying logic of mobile work environments, the manufacturer delivered a furniture system endowed with a high degree of “digital-era resilience.” This system not only provided a definitive solution to the noise challenges inherent in open-plan offices but also, through a highly forward-looking energy infrastructure layout, enhanced both the operational efficiency and future scalability of the space.
