For this private residence situated on Coastline Drive in Newport Coast, California, our factory custom-manufactured and supplied the entire suite of furnishings—including furniture, lighting, mattresses, rugs, artwork, and decorative accents.

The client’s primary challenge stemmed from the home’s immediate proximity to a rugged, cliff-lined coastline. Exposed year-round to the physical impact of strong Pacific winds and the corrosive infiltration of extremely high concentrations of chloride ions, standard indoor furniture components—specifically metal joinery and surface finishes—were highly susceptible to intergranular corrosion and oxidative peeling. Furthermore, due to the residence’s open-plan, large-span architectural design, the strong convective airflow within the interior environment frequently generated subtle, high-frequency vibrational noise, severely disrupting the home’s sense of tranquility.

To address these issues, we implemented an “Extreme-Environment Physical Defense and Acoustic Balancing System.” Across our entire furniture line, critical structural joints were fabricated using aerospace-grade titanium composite materials—replacing conventional metal hardware—and were further treated using a proprietary three-layer molecular encapsulation technology. This robust construction successfully passed an intensive 45-day dynamic salt-spray corrosion test. Additionally, the internal cavities of the furniture were filled with a high-density damping medium, effectively absorbing the physical resonance generated by environmental wind forces.

Upon the project’s completion, this highly resilient and sculptural spatial system not only definitively resolved the common industry pitfalls associated with coastal luxury homes—namely premature aging and ambient noise generation—but also achieved a profound resonance with the surrounding seascape and sky through a timeless, minimalist aesthetic.
