Case description

The dining furniture featured in the main area of ​​this flower shop-café, situated in the Patong district of Phuket, was custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.

The client’s primary challenge stemmed from the high-frequency misting and trimming operations inherent to a flower shop environment; these activities caused the indoor air to be perpetually saturated with plant hormones and a fine mist of high-concentration nutrient solutions. This atmosphere not only caused the delicate gold-plated metal accents on standard dining furniture to oxidize and tarnish rapidly, but also rendered the elegant blue upholstery—upon contact with pollen pigments and the viscous residue from cut flowers—extremely difficult to clean, leading to permanent staining. Consequently, the designer’s original vision of a pristine, ocean-inspired aesthetic was constantly at risk of being compromised by the burdens of daily maintenance.

To address this, we implemented a comprehensive defense system designed to resist biochemical corrosion and ensure color stability. For the minimalist gold-accented lines, we utilized aerospace-grade vacuum ion plating technology to completely eliminate oxidation. Furthermore, we co-developed a molecular-level protective fabric featuring exceptional hydrophobic and oleophobic properties. This material successfully passed rigorous cyclic testing—simulating exposure to highly acidic plant nutrient solutions and pollen penetration—thereby guaranteeing that the furniture would retain both the purity of its blue hues and the integrity of its metallic finishes, even within a persistently humid floral environment.

Since the project’s launch, this furniture system—which aligns perfectly with the design inspiration drawn from the Andaman Sea—has done more than merely support the flower shop’s daily operations through its exceptional durability; it has also, through its elegant textural details, flawlessly embodied the aesthetic of Phuket’s pristine waters. The client has praised this solution for truly achieving a profound fusion of commercial operational pragmatism and floral artistry.
