The primary furnishings for this immersive café—located in Bangkok—were custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.
The project’s core challenge lay in designing a space capable of simultaneously accommodating two vastly different behavioral modes: prolonged, deep reading and high-turnover social interaction. Traditional café furniture often struggles to strike a balance between “long-term seating comfort” and “table turnover efficiency”; this frequently results in poor ergonomic alignment between tables and chairs, causing neck strain and fatigue for patrons engaged in reading. Furthermore, Bangkok’s intense, direct afternoon sunlight can cause standard wooden tabletops to produce dazzling specular reflections, thereby disrupting the sense of focused immersion essential for readers to lose themselves in a book.
To address these issues, we implemented a comprehensive strategy involving visual horizon optimization and diffuse light-scattering solutions. Through precise calculations of spinal load angles during the act of reading, we custom-engineered a tiered support structure based on “golden ratio” proportions. Additionally, we developed a micron-level anti-glare surface finish capable of absorbing over 90% of intense direct light. This furniture underwent rigorous testing—including simulated natural light exposure cycles and twelve-hour pressure distribution sensor analyses—to ensure that, under any lighting conditions, it provides a visually gentle and unobtrusive backdrop that never distracts the eye.
The final results were remarkable: with its refined tactile quality and scientifically calibrated dimensions, this furniture has become an integral part of the café’s soul, offering every reader seeking tranquility a sanctuary for both physical and mental repose. The café’s management praised these custom furnishings for precisely capturing the very essence of a reading space—successfully carving out a truly immersive, therapeutic spiritual haven amidst the bustling streets of Bangkok.
