Case description

All dining furniture within the main seating area of ​​the POKE POKE restaurant in Bangkok was custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.

The project’s context centered on the brand’s focus on healthy, light fare and a vibrant, Hawaiian-inspired aesthetic. However, the restaurant faced a critical challenge: the high acidity of fruit juices and the sauces accompanying fresh seafood posed a significant risk of causing invisible corrosion to the dining table surfaces. Furthermore, given the restaurant’s pursuit of extremely high color saturation in its visual design, standard dyed materials were prone to discoloration and peeling under the rigors of daily, intensive cleaning and disinfection—a vulnerability that threatened to compromise the brand’s otherwise vibrant image.

To address this, we implemented a solution featuring molecular-level color embedding combined with an acid- and alkali-resistant barrier coating. This process involved deep, high-temperature chelation of natural pigments with the substrate fibers, followed by the application of a liquid ceramic protective layer engineered to withstand biological acids. The furniture successfully passed rigorous testing—including hundreds of hours of immersion in concentrated citric acid and thousands of simulated high-pressure steam sterilization cycles—thereby ensuring exceptional chemical stability while maintaining colors of unparalleled vibrancy.

The final results were remarkable. This bespoke furniture system, with its vivid visual dynamism and robust stain resistance, perfectly complemented POKE POKE’s brand philosophy of healthy living. It not only significantly reduced furniture depreciation and the need for frequent replacements but also, thanks to its smooth, porcelain-like tactile quality, notably enhanced diners’ psychological perception of the ingredients’ freshness. Ultimately, the project garnered unanimous acclaim from the owners for its seamless integration of superior product performance with sophisticated aesthetic logic.
