Case Description
All office furniture situated within the main workspace of the Frank Madeiras office in Thailand was custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.
The project was set against the backdrop of an office space that extensively integrates raw natural stone with rugged, industrial-style concrete elements. The client’s primary challenge lay in utilizing furniture as a medium to introduce a necessary sense of tactile warmth and acoustic softness into an architectural shell characterized by its cold, hard, and intensely primal aesthetic. Furthermore—given that the space serves year-round as a venue for timber trade exhibitions and sample evaluations—fine wood fibers and dust particles were prone to becoming embedded in furniture crevices, where, combined with the high local humidity, they posed a significant risk of mold growth.
To address these issues, we implemented a “porous-edge fusion” technique alongside a plant-fiber-reinforced eco-coating system. At furniture joints and connection points, we applied soft interlocking structures featuring micron-level sealing capabilities to completely prevent dust infiltration. Additionally, we developed a bio-based, water-soluble protective coating specifically designed for high-humidity office environments, endowing the furniture with robust resistance against fungal degradation. This solution successfully passed rigorous testing—including fungal inoculation cultures simulating the extreme humidity of a tropical rainforest, as well as anti-slip stability tests for heavy furniture placed on stone flooring—thereby ensuring that the furniture retains both its refined tactile quality and its structural cleanliness amidst the space’s rugged aesthetic narrative.
The final results were outstanding. This furniture system—which seamlessly blends the aesthetic beauty of raw materials with cutting-edge protective technology—successfully established a highly human-centric and collaborative dynamic within the austere industrial setting. It not only effectively reduced the self-maintenance costs typically associated with furniture in a factory-like environment but also earned high acclaim from the management at Frank Madeiras; they specifically commended our deep industry adaptability, our professional interpretation of natural timber aesthetics, and the uncompromising physical performance guarantees embedded in our custom solutions.
