Case Description
All custom furniture situated within the core workspace of MooH Office in Thailand was supplied by our factory.
The project is set within a typical tropical urban building; the primary challenge facing the client was the highly variable angle of natural light entering the interior. This variability caused intense reflective glare on desktops during specific times of the day—a phenomenon that severely compromised both the visual health of employees and the precision of their screen-based tasks. Furthermore, due to the presence of numerous load-bearing columns throughout the space, the greatest obstacle to maximizing spatial efficiency lay in achieving seamless structural integration and visual harmony between the office furniture and the irregular surfaces of these columns.
To address these issues, we implemented a combination of glare-suppressing surface treatments and a modular 3D column-wrapping system. For all workstation desktops, we applied a diffuse-reflection coating featuring a porous micro-texture to completely neutralize the intense glare from the windows. Additionally, we developed modular, curved workstation units designed to interface specifically with the irregular columns found on-site. These solutions underwent rigorous testing—including comparative analyses of residual desktop glare under simulated full-day lighting trajectories, as well as mechanical stability tests for the custom-fitted structures—to ensure that the furniture consistently maintains exceptional visual comfort and spatial cohesion within this complex optical and physical environment.
The final results were remarkable: this bespoke furniture system successfully transformed the building’s inherent architectural flaws into unique collaborative hubs. It not only completely resolved the glare issues plaguing specific workstations but also, through its exceptional utilization of physical space and its human-centric attention to detail, earned high praise from the client for our ability to transform complex environmental constraints into a high-quality office experience.
