During the spatial design and construction phase, China Grill—a high-end Chinese restaurant and landmark in Dubai—faced a unique set of industry-specific challenges. These included the difficulty of cultivating the “dark luxury” aesthetic characteristic of high-end Middle Eastern dining venues; the high barriers associated with customizing non-standard artistic lighting fixtures; the stringent requirements for fire resistance and wear durability in high-traffic restaurant furniture; the complexity of fitting non-standard dimensions into the space’s curved architectural structures; and the logistical intricacies of cross-border, comprehensive furnishing delivery for overseas projects. Consequently, the entire suite of custom furniture and artistic lighting fixtures—spanning the central bar and lounge, general dining areas, semi-private booths, and the artistic circulation pathways—was independently developed, meticulously crafted, and delivered by our own vertically integrated manufacturing facilities.

Situated within Dubai’s premier dining district, the venue’s design centers on an immersive “dark luxury” aesthetic. Standard off-the-shelf lighting fixtures available on the market proved incapable of meeting the space’s specific artistic styling and ambient lighting requirements. Furthermore, the dining furniture needed to withstand the rigors of a high-temperature environment and the wear and tear associated with heavy foot traffic. Additionally, the space featured irregular architectural elements—such as curved partitions and an exceptionally long bar—which demanded extreme precision in the structural engineering and dimensional customization of cabinetry and furniture. Relying on a fragmented supply chain would have made it impossible to simultaneously control the aesthetic integrity of the lighting, the quality of the furniture, and the overall stylistic unity of the space—thereby rendering a fully integrated project execution unfeasible.

Leveraging the comprehensive capabilities of our own vertically integrated manufacturing facilities for both lighting and furniture, we delivered a holistic, customized solution. Our factory independently handled the mold-making and ambient light calibration for all artistic chandeliers and decorative fixtures, creating a layered lighting scheme that perfectly complemented the space’s “dark luxury” aesthetic. Concurrently, we selected specialized commercial-grade materials—chosen for their heat resistance, fire safety, stain resistance, and durability—to construct the bar cabinetry, dining tables and chairs, lounge booths, and metal partitions.
