Case description

As specialists in custom outdoor furniture, we delivered a suite of specialized furnishings for the “Hot Spring Water Mansion” project, covering areas ranging from open-air hot spring poolsides and private garden lounges to outdoor scenic terraces.

The project is situated within a hot spring environment characterized by high humidity and mineral-rich vapors; the core challenge lay in mitigating extreme chemical corrosion and addressing rigorous hygiene maintenance demands. The client’s primary pain points were evident: under the prolonged corrosive assault of sulfur- and chlorine-laden hot spring mists, standard outdoor furniture—specifically its metal components—would rapidly blacken and rust, while woven or fabric materials would easily harbor mold and develop unpleasant odors. Furthermore, furniture in hot spring zones is subject to frequent contact with human skin and various skincare oils; conventional surface finishes tend to become sticky due to chemical reactions and are notoriously difficult to deep-clean—factors that directly compromise the guests’ sensory experience.

We implemented a comprehensive solution featuring chemical corrosion resistance and self-cleaning purification capabilities. For the featured poolside loungers, water-resistant woven sofas, and stone-topped side tables, we utilized aerospace-grade, oxidation-resistant aluminum alloy frames across the entire product line. These frames were finished with a baked-on fluorocarbon coating to ensure they remain fade-proof and peel-resistant, even within a sulfur-rich vapor environment. For the upholstered elements, we selected specialized hydrophobic and oleophobic fabrics embedded with antimicrobial agents; these materials not only rapidly repel moisture but also effectively resist the penetration of mineral deposits from the hot springs. Additionally, the base of every furniture piece was designed with a concealed drainage structure to prevent water accumulation—a common cause of bacterial proliferation.

The operators of the Hot Spring Water Mansion provided the following feedback: this collection of outdoor furniture has demonstrated exceptional stability within the complex micro-environment of the hot springs, completely eliminating the issues of mold spots and odors that plagued their previous furnishings. Even after frequent contact with body oils and lotions, the furniture surfaces retain a consistently dry and pleasant tactile quality. The property owner commended our ability to leverage advanced material science to resolve the most vexing operational and maintenance cost challenges typically associated with hot spring hotels, thereby creating an outdoor wellness space for guests that is both safe and aesthetically stunning.
