Case description
All dining furniture situated within the main area of the Garden Green Garden Concept Bar & Restaurant was custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.
The client’s primary challenge stemmed from the space’s deep integration of dense living vertical greenery and a recirculating water feature system. The interior environment faced not only extreme localized humidity pressures but also—due to volatile organic acids generated by extensive plant photosynthesis and fertilizer-laden mists potentially emitted by the irrigation system—posed significant risks to standard furniture. Conventional metal furniture was highly susceptible to concealed corrosion, while solid wood substrates faced the risk of internal fungal infestation. Furthermore, given the restaurant’s emphasis on creating an immersive “natural forest” ambiance, traditional, bulky commercial furniture would have visually disrupted the landscape’s continuity and sense of lightness.
To address these issues, we introduced a system featuring biomimetic fiber reinforcement and a porous, breathable, and hypoallergenic structure. We innovatively incorporated acid- and alkali-resistant bio-based composite materials into the furniture frames. Additionally, specifically for high-humidity social settings, we developed a synthetic rattan fabric featuring unidirectional moisture-wicking capabilities. This system successfully passed accelerated corrosion tests in extreme high-oxygen, high-humidity environments, as well as resistance tests against plant-derived metabolites, thereby ensuring that the furniture maintains its structural integrity—remaining dry and preserving its pristine aesthetic—even when enveloped by lush vegetation.
Upon the project’s completion, this furniture system—perfectly aligned with the venue’s ecological greenery philosophy—not only minimized the visual presence of artificial elements through its soft, streamlined design but also resolved the industry-wide challenge of furniture deterioration within indoor garden environments thanks to its exceptional durability. The client highly praised this comprehensive solution for achieving a seamless fusion of natural ecology and commercial furniture, thereby creating a breathable, enduring green social landmark for their patrons.
