Mausam – Dubai Mall

Case description

Our factory exclusively custom-manufactured and supplied all the movable furniture for the main dining area and outdoor terrace of Mausam, an Indian-themed restaurant located in the Dubai Mall. Centered on the Mughal architectural style, this project demanded a delicate balance between cultural aesthetics and commercial-grade durability—a challenge compounded by Dubai’s extreme environmental conditions and the shopping mall’s exceptionally high foot traffic.
During the project’s initial phase, the client faced a dual challenge: the space needed to visually recreate the textures of the Red Fort—featuring its signature arches, terracotta hues, and traditional craftsmanship such as wicker weaving and brass accents—while the furniture simultaneously had to maintain its structural integrity and pristine appearance amidst daily high turnover rates, constant physical contact, and the harsh outdoor environment of the terrace (which is directly exposed to extreme heat, intense UV radiation, and sandstorms). Any scratches, corrosion, or material embrittlement would have directly compromised the brand’s luxurious image.

Leveraging our factory’s specialized precision engineering system for commercial dining environments, we delivered a precise and effective solution. For the main dining area, the tables feature Dekton Arga ultra-compact surfaces—highly resistant to stains, scratches, and heat—which perfectly complement the aesthetic texture of quartzite and the space’s warm color palette. The dining chairs are constructed with marine-grade aluminum alloy frames, paired with high-polymer synthetic wicker and high-density leather upholstery; this design not only replicates the beauty of traditional craftsmanship but also completely eliminates the risk of cracking and brittleness often associated with natural wicker when subjected to fluctuations in humidity. The outdoor terrace furniture features frames constructed from UV-resistant, electrostatically powder-coated aluminum alloy, combined with fade-resistant outdoor-grade upholstery and high-polymer synthetic wicker. This robust combination effectively withstands UV radiation, abrasive sand particles, and temperature fluctuations, ensuring that both the visual appeal and material quality remain exceptional over the long term.

Upon delivery, the furniture seamlessly integrated with the space’s Mughal-style design, successfully conveying its cultural narrative while simultaneously enduring the dual rigors of high foot traffic and extreme climatic conditions.
