Case description
Object Carpet, based in Stuttgart, Germany, champions an aesthetic of serene minimalism and eco-friendly, sustainable materials. The project’s dining and leisure furniture—encompassing casual dining areas, artistic lounge booths, meeting tables, and minimalist seating zones—was entirely custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.
This project serves as a hybrid leisure space and showcase for material artistry; its overall ambiance is crafted through the interplay of textile textures and eco-friendly modular design. The client faced a unique set of implementation challenges: commercially available off-the-shelf furniture typically features generic materials lacking eco-friendly attributes, failing to meet the space’s standards for sustainable, circular material usage. Furthermore, the space’s expansive, minimalist, solid-color backdrop would inevitably amplify any inconsistencies in furniture texture or color deviation. Given the context of daily social interaction and light dining, the furniture is prone to staining and wear; moreover, standard furniture often lacks sufficient acoustic absorption, which would disrupt the space’s intended quiet and soothing atmosphere. Finally, the project’s comprehensive modular system demanded strict uniformity in furniture dimensions and form factors. As a cross-border initiative, coordinating eco-friendly materials, customizing acoustic structures, and precisely calibrating color palettes presented significant logistical and technical hurdles—making it difficult to authentically embody the brand’s core ethos of material artistry.
To address these multifaceted challenges, we devised an integrated, custom-procurement solution centered on the core principles of eco-friendly minimalism. We conducted a thorough site survey of the modular layout to precisely calibrate furniture dimensions; selected pollutant-free, eco-friendly base materials; and implemented specialized manufacturing processes to optimize acoustic absorption, noise reduction, stain resistance, durability, and structural stability. We harmonized the low-saturation, solid-color textures and minimalist lines across the entire space, deliberately minimizing the visual prominence of the furniture to highlight the space’s textile textures instead. Simultaneously, we prioritized ergonomic comfort for dining and lounging purposes. We managed the entire end-to-end process—from raw material sourcing and custom manufacturing to cross-border logistics and precise on-site installation—ensuring the furniture blended seamlessly with the artistic textiles, interior finishes, and minimalist spatial environment. Upon the completion of the furniture installation, the space fully realized its intended atmosphere of serene, high-end material artistry. The modular layout facilitates a fluid and logical circulation flow, while the eco-friendly, sound-absorbing, and durable qualities of the furniture are perfectly suited for the space’s long-term commercial operation, offering ease of daily cleaning and maintenance, as well as long-term material stability free from harmful emissions.
The client expressed high satisfaction with our custom procurement services, commending our precise execution of their eco-friendly, minimalist design vision. They acknowledged our success in effectively resolving complex cross-border implementation issues—including eco-material sourcing, acoustic integration, and color consistency control—while striking a perfect balance between the space’s artistic aesthetic, environmental sustainability, and practical commercial utility. Ultimately, we successfully delivered a comprehensive soft-furnishing solution that brought the entire space to life.
