Case Description

Our factory supplied all the furniture for the Grade A international office spaces, co-working center, conference center, and executive suites at the Plaza 66 Wuhan.

Commissioned as a tribute to Hang Lung’s 60th anniversary and serving as the first large-scale commercial complex in Central China, this project—designed by the architectural firm Aedas—achieved LEED Gold certification. The core challenge lay in ensuring the office furniture perfectly aligned with the building’s “Chinese Knot” design concept and LEED green certification standards. Simultaneously, the furniture needed to accommodate diverse settings—including co-working spaces, Grade A offices, and high-end reception areas—satisfying the flexible social dynamics of co-working environments while projecting the premium quality characteristic of Grade A office buildings. Furthermore, it had to meet the rigorous LEED requirements regarding eco-friendly materials and energy efficiency. Traditional office furniture solutions struggle to strike a balance between aesthetic design, functional adaptability, and green certification standards; moreover, the modular layout of such expansive spaces demands exceptional precision in furniture customization and installation efficiency—requirements that standard custom manufacturing services simply cannot meet given the building’s international design caliber and multifaceted operational needs.

Leveraging our capabilities as a direct-source manufacturer with end-to-end customization and technical expertise, we seamlessly integrated Aedas’s design aesthetics with the “Chinese Knot” motif. We selected FSC-certified recycled eco-boards and low-VOC eco-friendly coatings, ensuring that all furniture passed the relevant testing for LEED v4.1 certification, thereby meeting the scoring criteria for both Indoor Environmental Quality and Materials & Resources categories. For the co-working center, we designed modular, reconfigurable furniture systems adaptable to various scenarios—such as salons, presentations, and business discussions. The Grade A office zones feature minimalist yet sophisticated ergonomic furniture suites, while the conference center is outfitted with high-end meeting furniture featuring integrated smart projection and wireless charging capabilities. The executive area features bespoke furniture suites designed to balance privacy with representational prestige. Utilizing 3D spatial visualization technology, we precisely matched the furniture layout to the building’s unique column-free cantilevered structure, providing a comprehensive, one-stop service—encompassing design, manufacturing, and precision installation—to ensure the furniture achieves perfect harmony with the building’s architectural fabric and spatial ambiance.

Following the project’s completion, the office space and architectural design harmonize seamlessly. The furniture—characterized by its eco-friendliness, premium quality, and versatile adaptability—not only meets the standards for LEED Gold certification but also precisely caters to the distinct requirements of both co-working environments and Grade A offices. This effectively enhances space utilization and the overall office experience, underscoring the high-end business positioning of Wuhan Plaza 66. The project has garnered unanimous acclaim from both the Plaza 66 development team and its tenant enterprises, establishing itself as a benchmark for custom office furniture solutions within large-scale commercial complexes and contributing to the creation of a premium business ecosystem that integrates work, social interaction, and experiential elements.
