Case description

Our factory provided a comprehensive custom furniture solution for Pokrovka Bar, covering the central dining area, high-top bar section, window-side seating with scenic views, and the artistic restroom area. Our key products included high-saturation bright yellow dining chairs, dark-metal industrial-style communal tables, striped fabric wall-mounted benches, and custom-designed artistic vanity bases. By deeply integrating minimalist industrial frameworks with bold blocks of color, we achieved a perfect balance between rugged industrial aesthetics and vibrant modern trends.

A core challenge inherent in the project’s context was reconciling the raw, gritty textures of the historic building’s original fabric with the tactile compatibility requirements of the highly vivid, sensitive-hued furniture. The client’s primary concern stemmed from the space’s retention of extensive—and often mottled—original brickwork and somber industrial ceilings. If the furniture colors were too muted, the bar risked appearing gloomy and dilapidated; conversely, employing standard bright-colored furniture would easily result in a cheap, “plasticky” appearance within the low-light environment typical of a nightlife venue. Furthermore, the space featured numerous extremely narrow circulation paths; traditional furniture with rounded corners would not only compromise floor efficiency but also fail to establish visual and logical cohesion with the interior’s vertical black partition shelving units.

To address these challenges, our factory implemented a strategy centered on “geometric pixelated reconstruction” and high-color-rendering powder coating. Regarding the challenge of color texture, we utilized an ultra-weather-resistant, high-fidelity metal powder coating technique. We applied a micron-level matte-particle finish to the signature yellow dining chairs, ensuring they retained a saturated, non-reflective, and velvety visual texture under a variety of warm and cool lighting conditions. In terms of structural design, we developed a minimalist, “pixelated” linear framework; this optimized the support structures of all tables and chairs into orthogonal geometric lines that run parallel to the space’s existing shelving grids. Additionally, we employed a hidden, seamless welding technique at all metal joints, creating the illusion that the furniture had organically “grown” directly out of the architectural lines of the space. For the high-traffic window-side area, we subjected the striped fabric benches to rigorous testing—including 100,000 cycles of abrasion resistance—to ensure they remained free of pilling and fading, maintaining their original vibrant color even after prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heavy use.

The project’s outcome demonstrates that the custom furniture successfully revitalized the venue’s originally somber industrial shell. That vibrant splash of bright yellow has emerged as the visual focal point of the space, significantly boosting its appeal and shareability across social media platforms. The linear proportions of the furniture precisely align with the logic of the shelving system, thereby maximizing interior seating efficiency without compromising on comfort.
