Case description

Our factory provided a comprehensive, custom furniture solution for Lucca Restaurant, covering the central round-table area, curved booth seating, the open bar, and semi-private dining rooms. Our key products included solid-wood-textured dining tables, leather-wrapped dining chairs, metal-framed bar stools, and bespoke wooden partition screens. By deeply integrating warm, natural materials with modern geometric lines, we achieved a harmonious balance between natural aesthetics and commercial functionality within a highly dramatic architectural space.

The core challenge inherent in the project’s context lay in preventing the visual focal point from dissipating beneath the grand arched ceilings, and in ensuring the material authenticity of the furniture remained intact amidst a complex interplay of light and shadow. The client’s primary concerns stemmed from the restaurant’s distinctive design—characterized by a continuous arched ceiling structure and a profound spatial depth. Standard furniture pieces would appear dwarfed and insubstantial against such a massive architectural scale, failing to provide the sense of gravitas and ceremony required by the space. Furthermore, the interior featured rich layers of light and shadow with a predominantly dim color palette; the owner was concerned that the furniture might lose its textural detail and visual richness under low-light conditions. Additionally, the extensive use of curved circulation paths imposed extremely rigorous requirements for the dimensional precision and installation alignment of the furniture; even the slightest deviation in curvature would disrupt the fluid continuity of the overall architecture.

To address these challenges, our factory implemented an approach centered on “architecturalized” furniture modeling and multi-dimensional diffuse-reflection finishes. To resolve the spatial proportion dilemma, we adopted an architectural logic in our furniture development—treating each custom round table and booth as a miniature landscape within the space. By thickening table edges and enhancing the visual mass of support columns, we ensured that the furniture served as a substantial visual anchor within the soaring, high-ceilinged environment. Regarding surface finishes, we introduced artisanal deep-brushing techniques and micro-porous matte lacquer processes. Following multiple rounds of multi-angle lighting simulation tests, we ensured that the wooden surfaces would continue to exhibit a delicate, diffuse-reflection effect even under dim ambient lighting, clearly revealing the natural grain and texture of the wood. To address the curved spatial elements, we utilized 3D scanning technology to take precise measurements of the existing walls, enabling us to custom-fabricate a curved sofa system equipped with modular adjustment capabilities—thereby achieving a seamless, perfect fit between the furniture’s contours and the building’s architectural arches.

The project’s outcome demonstrates that the custom furniture successfully transformed the grand, expansive spatial volume into an intimate and comfortable dining experience, while the inherent warmth of the materials effectively softened the austere nature of the architectural lines. Client Review: Through a meticulous command of scale and the interplay of light and shadow, the factory delivered not merely functional furnishings, but pieces that have become an integral part of the spatial narrative. The craftsmanship and intricate details of the furniture exude an exceptional sense of luxury under any lighting condition. The key products supplied include natural solid wood round tables, high-density resilient leather dining chairs, bar stools accented with brass detailing, and integrated custom-built benches; these furnishings are distributed across the main dining hall, the curved scenic corridor, private VIP rooms, and the artistic passageway leading to the restrooms.
