Case description
Our factory provided a comprehensive custom furniture solution for Fach Restaurant, covering the central circular dining area, the minimalist coffee bar, the outdoor atrium seating, and the artistic washroom vanity area. Our key deliverables included matte-finish natural wood round tables, minimalist black curved chairs, a continuous metal bar counter, and integrated solid wood countertops. Through the deep integration of pristine geometric lines and raw wood textures, we achieved a harmonious balance between cool rationality and natural warmth.
The core challenge inherent in this project’s context lay in meeting stringent precision tolerances—given the extensive use of “negative space”—while simultaneously addressing the acoustic requirements of a high-traffic commercial environment. The client’s primary pain point stemmed from the interior design, which featured vast expanses of minimalist white walls and stucco finishes; in such a setting, even the slightest deviation in furniture lines or minor material imperfections would be visually magnified to an extreme degree. Furthermore, as a high-end social dining venue, the interior contained numerous acoustically reflective surfaces; the noise generated by moving standard furniture—or the clinking of tableware—could easily create echoes within the vaulted spaces, severely disrupting the dining atmosphere. Concurrently, the owner sought furniture that would possess a sense of timelessness—much like the architecture itself—eschewing any superfluous ornamentation.
To address these challenges, our factory implemented a strategy involving “architectural-grade” structural micro-adjustments and “soft-contact” noise-dampening treatments. To meet the precision challenge, we introduced a process combining traditional precision joinery with 5-axis CNC machining; this allowed us to control the tolerance of all solid wood table joints to within 0.1mm, ensuring that the furniture lines exhibited a surgical-level of precision. Regarding acoustic optimization, we custom-fabricated composite foot pads for all tables and chairs—utilizing a blend of PTFE (Teflon) and high-density felt—and subjected them to multi-scenario sliding noise attenuation tests to ensure virtually silent movement across hard flooring surfaces. For the bar and vanity countertops, we employed a multi-layer solid wood cold-pressing technique paired with an ultra-durable, wear-resistant nano-coating finish. This treatment endowed the wood surfaces with exceptional hydrophobic and stain-resistant properties, effectively preventing the penetration of coffee stains and chemical cleaning agents, and successfully withstood simulated durability tests involving 50,000 cycles of high-frequency friction with wet cleaning cloths.
The project’s outcome demonstrates that the custom furniture successfully recedes into the pristine architectural backdrop; its restrained black lines and light wood tones create a visual tension that exudes a profound sense of high-end sophistication. Client Review: Through an uncompromising pursuit of proportional perfection, the factory delivered a furniture system that engages in a dialogue with the architectural language of the space. Its serene physical presence significantly elevates the social ambiance of the restaurant, allowing every guest to experience the purity of light, shadow, and ingredients within a minimalist, undisturbed environment.
