Our factory exclusively custom-manufactured and supplied the complete suite of movable furniture—spanning the open dining area, scenic terrace, semi-outdoor spaces, and central bar area—for Andaliman, the Indonesian-themed restaurant at the One&Only One Za’abeel hotel in Dubai.

As a high-end concept restaurant emphasizing the fusion of natural textures and modern lines, the project faced several critical challenges during its initial stages: Materials such as natural rattan and solid wood struggled to withstand Dubai’s extreme climate—characterized by high temperatures and intense sunlight—as traditional natural rattan is prone to fading and becoming brittle, while solid wood is susceptible to warping and cracking. Furthermore, the interior and exterior spaces required stylistic harmony; however, balancing outdoor weather resistance with indoor textural sophistication proved difficult, as standard commercial furniture could not adequately replicate the rustic yet refined Southeast Asian aesthetic. Given the restaurant’s high foot traffic, tabletops were vulnerable to corrosion from sauces and beverages, while upholstered elements were prone to wear and pilling, making it difficult to sustain a luxurious appearance over time. Finally, the furniture across multiple zones—in terms of form, material, and color palette—needed to weave a cohesive narrative; mass-produced industrial products simply could not achieve the bespoke artistic textures and structural precision required.

To address these challenges, we provided a comprehensive solution leveraging our factory’s specialized system for precision custom craftsmanship. For the open dining area, we selected reinforced solid wood frames paired with highly realistic, age-resistant synthetic rattan; this approach replicates the warm, tactile quality of natural rattan while offering superior UV resistance and structural stability against deformation. The dining tables feature natural stone tops supported by rust-proof metal bases, with surfaces treated to prevent liquid penetration, thereby protecting against daily stains and heat damage from hot tableware. The scenic terrace and semi-outdoor zones utilize highly weather-resistant rope-woven materials paired with aluminum alloy frames; the quick-drying, antimicrobial upholstery is specifically adapted to withstand Dubai’s significant diurnal temperature fluctuations and dusty climate, while the round stone side tables and modular sofas are engineered for exceptional structural stability and longevity. In the bar area, we crafted ergonomically designed wooden bar stools featuring dark, abrasion-resistant leather cushions that strike a perfect balance between guest comfort and commercial-grade durability. Throughout the entire process, we combined CNC modeling with meticulous hand-finishing techniques to ensure the precise alignment of rattan weaves, the graceful curvature of solid wood elements, and the seamless joining of stone surfaces, thereby achieving a flawless stylistic continuity between the indoor and outdoor environments. Upon the project’s completion, the overall space perfectly embodies a harmonious fusion of natural rusticity and modern sophistication. The furniture—in terms of form, texture, and color palette—aligns seamlessly with the original design vision, remaining as pristine as new even amidst extreme climatic conditions and high-frequency usage. Both the hotel management and the design team expressed their profound satisfaction, commending our factory for precisely balancing cultural aesthetics, commercial durability, and climatic adaptability—thereby setting a new benchmark for bespoke furniture within the realm of ultra-luxury Southeast Asian dining.
