As a benchmark for business and leisure resorts in Southeast Asia, the Radisson Lampung Kedaton Hotel faced a unique set of challenges during its construction phase. These included the high heat and humidity of the tropical rainforest—which can easily cause furniture to mold or warp—as well as the stringent environmental material standards mandated by the Radisson International brand. Additional hurdles involved the difficulty of seamlessly blending a modern “Nanyang” light-luxury style with local cultural elements; the complexity of maintaining stylistic consistency across all public areas and guest rooms; the tedious nature of custom-designing non-standard, modular furniture for a large variety of room types; and the intricate logistics of the end-to-end delivery and installation process for an overseas cross-border project. All movable furniture and fixed custom cabinetry—spanning the hotel’s luxury guest rooms, lobby circulation areas, all-day buffet restaurant, indoor lounge, and outdoor seaside dining terrace—were independently developed, precision-crafted, and delivered via a one-stop cross-border service by our own direct-source furniture manufacturing facility.

Situated within the humid, hot environment of the Indonesian rainforest—characterized by frequent rainfall and pervasive moisture year-round—the project presented a significant risk: standard panel furniture would be highly susceptible to moisture absorption, swelling, surface cracking, and discoloration. Furthermore, the hotel’s design concept—which fuses the minimalist, light-luxury aesthetic of the Nanyang style with local artistic and cultural elements—demanded exceptional precision regarding the craftsmanship, color palette, and spatial scale of both the artistic statement pieces in public areas and the residential-style furnishings in guest rooms. A fragmented supply chain would have struggled to simultaneously address the requirements for rainforest-resistant durability, authentic brand style reproduction, local cultural integration, and consistent quality control across all room types.

Leveraging the comprehensive manufacturing capabilities of our own vertically integrated factory, we developed a bespoke, holistic solution tailored specifically to tropical environments. Our factory selected premium commercial-grade substrates engineered for moisture resistance, mold prevention, and durability against heat and aging. We employed a fully sealed, waterproof, and weather-resistant coating process to shield the furniture from the corrosive effects of rainforest humidity. In alignment with the hotel’s core Nanyang light-luxury design ethos, we executed a modular, custom-tailored production plan for guest room bedding, lounge furnishings, dining tables and chairs, and public area cabinetry, thereby precisely realizing the intended spatial aesthetics and ergonomic comfort for guests. Additionally, we managed the entire cross-border logistics chain—including moisture-proof and shock-resistant packaging—as well as the on-site installation and arrangement across the entire property. By eliminating intermediaries, we ensured full control over quality, stylistic integrity, and project timelines from start to finish.

Upon the successful completion and launch of the project, the entire furniture collection demonstrated exceptional stability and adaptability within the tropical climate.
