Case description

For Shenzhen Qiaocheng Villa No. 1 (Neuschwanstein Castle · Qiaocheng No. 1), we provided a comprehensive, integrated delivery solution encompassing bespoke furniture, artistic lighting fixtures, advanced sleep systems, handcrafted rugs, and a curated collection of gallery-grade wall art and decorative accents.

As a super-high-rise villa commanding panoramic “cloud-level” views from the heart of the city, the project faced a core challenge: “visual glare and a sense of high-altitude isolation caused by extensive curtain wall glazing.” With windows wrapping around three sides of the structure and its lofty elevation, the intense, constant natural light often left interior colors in a state of overexposure, depriving the space of a grounded sense of tranquility. Furthermore, the homeowner felt that the linear circulation paths within the expansive single-level layout were excessively deep and elongated; this lack of visual focal points created the illusion of being in a corporate office rather than a warm, private residence. Additionally, the high-altitude environment imposed near-extreme demands on the materials regarding their resistance to UV radiation and aging.

We implemented a design strategy focused on “light and shadow modulation” and “multi-dimensional tactile reshaping.” To address the glare issue, we commissioned bespoke furniture featuring matte suede finishes with diffuse-reflection properties. By leveraging the micro-physical surface structures of these materials to absorb and scatter intense light, we effectively mitigated the visual restlessness previously felt within the interior. To counteract the space’s cold, detached atmosphere, we centered the design around large modular sofas. Through the use of custom-designed rugs with distinct color-block zoning, we constructed “enclosed artistic islands”—visually creating multiple living anchors that draw the eye inward and ground the space. To combat the intense high-altitude sunlight, all fabrics and finishes underwent nano-scale photo-degradation treatments. We selected high-thread-count blends of handcrafted silk and cashmere; by introducing the natural weight and soft tactile qualities of these materials, we successfully neutralized the transparent, clinical coldness of the architectural glass.

Feedback from the Owner of Qiaocheng No. 1: “Following the comprehensive project handover, the space—which previously felt as though it were merely floating in the clouds—finally acquired a true sense of being ‘grounded.’ The interior lighting has become gentle and richly layered, completely resolving the issues of harsh, blinding glare we faced before. The spatial interplay and scale alignment between the furniture and decorative pieces are executed with remarkable precision; this not only dispelled the previous sense of emptiness but, through the exquisite tactile qualities of the materials, infused this high-altitude residence with a long-awaited sense of human warmth and intimacy.” Client Testimonial: We were not merely furnishing a home; rather, through the meticulous calibration of physical materials, we constructed for this “mansion in the clouds” an artistic ecosystem—one capable of withstanding extreme solar exposure while instilling a profound sense of residential security.
