Case Description
Addressing the high-frequency interaction dynamics inherent to the City Edge Sales Office, we delivered a comprehensive office furniture system designed to seamlessly balance the demands of business negotiations with efficient back-office collaboration.
As a key marketing gateway situated in the heart of the city, City Edge faced a core challenge: reconciling extremely high foot traffic with the need for rapid, multifunctional spatial reconfiguration. The client’s primary pain point lay in the necessity for the sales center to transition seamlessly between daytime client reception and evening marketing review meetings; however, their existing furniture—being heavy and rigidly fixed in layout—rendered this spatial transformation process highly inefficient. Furthermore, given the immediate proximity of the sales floor to the finance and administrative offices, visual clutter from the back-office area frequently disrupted the high-end professional ambiance of the reception lobby. Additionally, the high-intensity usage of the furniture meant that surface wear and scratches were a constant issue, compromising the professional integrity of the brand image.
Our solution involved implementing a system featuring “invisible” office zoning and highly durable, mobile furniture units. To facilitate rapid spatial reconfiguration, we custom-designed modular negotiation tables equipped with a silent hydraulic caster system; this allows a single individual to complete the entire transition—from a “scattered negotiation layout” to a “large-scale conference setup”—in under three minutes. To resolve the issue of visual clutter, we designed workstations featuring retractable artistic screens that can be lowered during reception hours to maintain an open, transparent spatial flow, and raised during work hours to create a visual partition and provide acoustic privacy. In terms of materials, the entire furniture collection features surfaces finished with aerospace-grade, scratch-resistant metal coatings and self-healing wood veneers. Through the inherent physical resilience of their microstructures, these materials ensure that the furniture retains a pristine, mirror-like finish—even under conditions of high-frequency, heavy-duty use.
Feedback from City Edge operations management highlights that this custom furniture system has completely unlocked the spatial flexibility of the sales center; the rapid reconfiguration capabilities of the multifunctional zones have effectively maximized the time available for client reception. The visual boundary between the office area and the reception lobby has been perfectly balanced, ensuring that—even during peak sales periods—the center consistently maintains an atmosphere of impeccable order and sophistication, akin to that of an exclusive private club. The property owner remarked: “We weren’t merely purchasing furniture; we were acquiring a dynamic spatial management system capable of breathing and adapting in perfect rhythm with our business operations. The long-term durability and wear resistance of the furniture have far exceeded our expectations.”
