As specialists in custom hotel furnishings, we provided a comprehensive, bespoke furniture solution for The Westin Brisbane project—covering the open-plan lobby lounge, vibrant dining areas, Executive Lounge, and guest rooms.

The core of the Westin brand lies in “well-being” and “vitality.” The greatest challenge of this project was determining how to convey a sense of “natural breathability” and “ultimate sensory security” through the furniture design. The client’s primary pain points stemmed from the extensive use of semi-transparent wooden lattice screens and irregularly curved furniture throughout the hotel; given the high-traffic nature of both business and leisure social settings, the narrow gaps within the lattice work were prone to dust accumulation and proved extremely difficult to deep-clean. Furthermore, the client was deeply concerned about the potential for edge warping in wood-veneered furniture exposed to direct airflow from air conditioning—an issue that would directly undermine the refined, inviting aesthetic the brand strives to achieve.

We addressed these challenges by employing a proprietary “Eco-Seamless Wrapping and Structural Reinforcement” technology. For the specific pieces shown in the accompanying images—including the decorative lattice backdrops, curved sectional sofas, and cylindrical artistic side tables—we utilized 5-axis CNC precision machining to achieve seamless, integrated molding of the lattice lines. Additionally, we applied a nano-scale anti-static coating to the surfaces, significantly reducing dust adhesion. For all large-format woodwork, we selected high-stability, multi-layer balanced core structures bonded with eco-friendly, weather-resistant adhesives; this ensures that the furniture remains perfectly fitted—without any shrinkage or peeling—even after prolonged exposure to the hotel’s climate-controlled environment. Moreover, the sofa upholstery features highly breathable natural blended fibers, ensuring that guests remain cool and comfortable—in keeping with Westin’s brand ethos—even during extended periods of sitting.

The Westin’s operations team offered the following feedback: “This collection of furniture perfectly captures the brand’s philosophy of ‘nature and wellness.’ Its exceptional surface finishes have significantly simplified the daily cleaning and maintenance tasks for our housekeeping staff.” Guest feedback highlighted that the furniture’s rounded, soft-edged designs were not only visually relaxing but also featured a refined tactile quality that enhanced the overall enjoyment of their stay.
