Case description
As specialists in custom hotel furnishings, we delivered a comprehensive range of loose furniture for the Pullman Brisbane Airport project—spanning the Executive Lounge, artistic relaxation zones, open-plan workspaces, and guest rooms.
Situated adjacent to the bustling International Terminal, the property is positioned as a premium hub for business and transit travelers. The client’s primary challenges centered on the “multifunctional overlap” of spaces and an “extremely high turnover rate”: the furniture needed to simultaneously accommodate the demands of deep-focus work during brief layovers and formal business negotiations. Furthermore, given the airport environment’s round-the-clock operations and complex background noise, the owner urgently required furniture that could visually project a sense of “absolute tranquility,” while also withstanding surface damage caused by frequent impacts from luggage—thereby preventing the furnishings from appearing worn-out shortly after installation.
We implemented a smart manufacturing solution characterized by “acoustic affinity and high impact resistance.” For the enclosed screen sofas and minimalist solid-wood round tables featured in the accompanying images, we incorporated high-density acoustic insulation padding; through the strategic design of the furniture’s physical contours, we created a micro “quiet cabin” experience for guests within the open-plan environment. Regarding material selection, the bases and high-contact areas of all furniture pieces were fitted with embedded nano-tech anti-collision strips, and finished with high-hardness, scratch-resistant surfaces to ensure the furnishings remain pristine amidst the high-traffic flow of luggage. To cater to business needs, we seamlessly integrated hidden wireless charging pads and multi-functional connectivity ports into the sofa armrests, achieving a perfect fusion of technology and aesthetics.
The management team at Pullman Brisbane Airport remarked that this collection of custom furniture precisely dispelled the inherent stereotypes of airport hotels—namely, their perceived noisiness and hurried atmosphere—and noted that the furniture’s durability and resistance to damage far exceeded their expectations. Guest feedback highlighted that the furniture’s enveloping comfort and convenient workspace amenities significantly enhanced their comfort levels while waiting for flights. The owner commended our foresight regarding usage details, noting that we delivered a suite of high-quality assets perfectly tailored to a “24/7 non-stop operation” environment, thereby successfully helping the hotel establish itself as a benchmark for airport hospitality facilities across the Asia-Pacific region.
