Case description
For this project—the Atomic Beer Project brewpub in Sydney, Australia—all restaurant furnishings throughout the entire venue were fully customized and supplied by our factory. This includes metal-framed dining tables, minimalist dining chairs, upholstered wall-mounted banquettes, bar stools, casual square ottomans, and communal dining tables.
The project involved the conversion of an old warehouse into a multi-functional space dedicated to craft beer and dining. While the “hardscape” design preserved the original red brickwork and rugged industrial structural elements, the “softscape” introduced high-saturation contrasting colors and dynamic atmospheric lighting. The client faced distinct challenges during implementation: commercially available mass-produced furniture typically features limited color palettes and uniform designs, rendering it incompatible with the venue’s diverse, high-contrast color scheme and its aesthetic blend of industrial grit and futuristic flair. Furthermore, the space featured varied floor levels and numerous irregularly shaped walls, making it difficult to fit standard, off-the-shelf furniture dimensions into the specific site layout. Given the venue’s high-traffic, all-day operation centered on beverages and social interaction, the furniture would be prone to fabric staining and tabletop wear and tear; standard furniture typically lacks the necessary stain resistance and impact durability to withstand such conditions. Additionally, as a cross-border project, managing color consistency and minimizing color deviation across different furniture zones presented a significant challenge; a failure to seamlessly integrate the soft furnishings would have resulted in a jarring disconnect between the building’s original architectural texture and the trendy, modern design atmosphere.
To address these multifaceted challenges, we developed a comprehensive, integrated custom-furnishing solution centered on the project’s core theme: the fusion of industrial heritage and futuristic aesthetics. We conducted a thorough site survey to map out the irregular architectural structures, enabling us to precisely calibrate the dimensions of every furniture piece to fit the space perfectly. We customized exclusive surface finishes to harmonize with the venue’s high-saturation color palette, and we carefully selected durable metal frames and stain-resistant, high-density upholstered fabrics. We subjected these materials to rigorous specialized testing to ensure resistance against impact, liquid penetration (specifically alcohol), and daily wear and tear. We optimized the ergonomic design of seating across different zones and ensured stylistic consistency throughout the entire venue—from individual dining tables and banquettes to the bar area. Finally, we established a seamless end-to-end workflow encompassing raw material sourcing, custom manufacturing, cross-border logistics, and precise on-site installation, ensuring that the furniture integrated naturally with the original red brickwork and the ambient lighting design.
Upon the completion of the furniture installation, the venue’s intended atmosphere—a harmonious blend of industrial-retro charm and futuristic modernity—was fully realized. The furniture fits the venue’s irregular layout flawlessly, facilitating smooth and logical circulation pathways. The durable, protective finishes and construction techniques are perfectly suited to the demands of the venue’s high-volume beverage service operations, ensuring ease of daily cleaning and maintenance while maintaining structural integrity and aesthetic quality over the long term. The client highly commended our customized procurement services, praising our precise command of diverse spatial design aesthetics—specifically, our ability to strike a perfect balance between the textural quality of a renovated space, commercial-grade durability, and specific color coordination requirements. Furthermore, our integrated service approach effectively resolved the challenges typically associated with overseas soft furnishing projects—such as color discrepancies and compatibility issues—culminating in the flawless delivery of the entire space’s soft furnishing scheme.
