Located in Moscow, Russia, Café Polet embodies a harmonious blend of vintage industrial textures and futuristic cinematic aesthetics. The venue is divided into eight distinct functional zones—including general dining areas, a casual coffee lounge, private dining rooms, a long central bar, and enclosed booth seating—all of which feature restaurant furniture entirely custom-manufactured and supplied by our factory.

The project transformed a former airport site into an aviation-themed dining space. The interior features a complex design characterized by colossal three-dimensional relief walls, multi-material metal paneling, and soaring ceilings. Consequently, the client faced unique implementation challenges: standard off-the-shelf furniture available on the market appeared generic and mediocre, failing to resonate with the venue’s “retro-futuristic aviation” narrative. Furthermore, the vast, open nature of the venue caused standard furniture pieces to appear disproportionately small—lacking the necessary visual weight to balance the spatial scale. Operationally, the café’s all-day service—offering coffee and light meals—posed risks of tabletop staining and fabric wear and tear. Aesthetically, the diverse mix of hardscape materials demanded an exceptionally high degree of color and texture consistency across the furniture’s metal, wood, and upholstered components. As a cross-border project, the undertaking presented significant difficulties regarding the faithful reproduction of thematic details, the precise calibration of dimensions and proportions, and the rigorous control of color variations across disparate materials—any failure in these areas risked fragmenting the venue’s cohesive aviation atmosphere.

To address these multifaceted challenges, we devised a comprehensive, integrated custom-sourcing solution centered on the core theme of “retro-futuristic aviation.” We conducted a thorough site survey of the high-ceilinged interior to precisely calibrate the scale and contours of the furniture, thereby filling the spatial void and balancing the vastness of the venue. Drawing inspiration from aviation design, we incorporated fluid, aerodynamic lines to optimize the furniture’s silhouettes. We carefully selected robust solid woods, brushed metals, and stain-resistant, skin-friendly upholstery fabrics. We implemented specialized manufacturing processes to ensure exceptional durability—specifically optimizing for abrasion resistance, protection against coffee stain penetration, and structural load-bearing longevity. This approach ensured a unified aesthetic across the entire space—characterized by a warm, vintage color palette and a minimalist thematic tone—while simultaneously prioritizing ergonomic comfort for diverse dining scenarios. We managed the entire workflow seamlessly—from raw material sourcing and custom manufacturing to cross-border logistics and precise on-site installation—ensuring that the furniture integrated naturally with the concrete reliefs, metal hardscape elements, and aviation-themed art installations. Upon the project’s completion, the venue’s retro-futuristic aviation atmosphere was fully realized; the spatial layout and circulation flow proved fluid and logical, while the durable, protective finishes were perfectly suited for the venue’s continuous, all-day operations—facilitating easy daily cleaning and maintenance while ensuring the long-term structural integrity and aesthetic quality of the materials.
