Living Water Resort & Spa in Collingwood, Canada, is a high-end, year-round resort destination situated on the lakeshore, with its core appeal centered on scenic lake views and leisure experiences. Our factory served as the exclusive supplier for the entire suite of custom-made loose furniture—covering everything from guest rooms, lake-view suites, and restaurants to public lounges and outdoor terraces.
In the initial stages of the project, the client faced a unique set of challenges. As a year-round resort, the furniture needed to withstand a complex climate characterized by cold, damp winters and hot, humid summers with intense sunlight; standard furniture would be prone to issues such as cracking, mold growth, and fading. Furthermore, the functional requirements across guest rooms, suites, dining areas, terraces, and public lounges varied significantly. Given that some accommodations featured apartment-style designs with integrated kitchens, the furniture demanded exceptional storage capacity, versatility, and adaptability to diverse settings—qualities that off-the-shelf furniture could not adequately address. The resort aimed to cultivate a relaxed, modern vacation ambiance, requiring the integration of vibrant accent colors into a minimalist aesthetic—a level of precise control over color and material palettes that conventional suppliers often struggle to achieve. Finally, the project operated under a tight schedule, where sourcing multiple furniture categories from disparate vendors risked resulting in disjointed delivery timelines and stylistic inconsistencies.
Leveraging our in-house manufacturing capabilities and specialized system for year-round resort furnishings, we delivered a targeted, comprehensive solution. The furniture design is grounded in minimalist lines, complemented by warm wood tones and vibrant color accents that harmonize with the resort’s lakeside vacation atmosphere. To address the local climate, indoor furniture was constructed using moisture-resistant engineered panels and stabilized solid wood techniques, while outdoor furniture featured weather-resistant solid wood, UV-resistant and waterproof fabrics, and rust-proof hardware finishes to ensure superior durability against the elements. For guest rooms, we custom-designed multi-functional storage bed frames and desks; for apartment-style suites, we created integrated dining and lounge furniture solutions; and for the restaurant and terraces, we selected comfortable, wear-resistant tables and chairs capable of withstanding the high-frequency usage demands of these public areas. Throughout the entire process, we maintained unified quality control standards and managed production and delivery through a single, centralized system, thereby ensuring complete control over stylistic consistency, product quality, and project timelines.
Upon the project’s completion, the entire furniture collection proved to be in perfect harmony with the resort’s relaxed vacation ethos.
