Case description

Our factory provided a comprehensive furniture customization solution for PANAM Pan Asian Restaurant, covering the perimeter of the open kitchen, the standard dining area, VIP rooms, and the children’s play area. Our key products included matte solid wood communal tables, caramel-hued upholstered chairs, custom metal-framed partitions, and integrated booth seating systems. By deeply integrating contemporary Asian design trends with a high-saturation peach-orange color palette, we achieved a harmonious balance between avant-garde aesthetics and diverse dining functionalities within a space characterized by strong geometric forms.

A core challenge inherent in the project’s background lay in maintaining visual unity amidst high-contrast color schemes, while simultaneously managing the furnishing complexities introduced by multi-functional zoning. The client’s primary concern stemmed from the space’s bold use of a peach-pink ceiling and vibrant orange floral arrangements; without the rational counterweight provided by appropriate furniture materials, such visually intense colors risked inducing aesthetic fatigue and creating a perception of cheapness. Furthermore, the restaurant incorporated a mix of open seating, private VIP spaces, and a children’s activity zone—each with entirely distinct functional requirements. The critical task in realizing the “Modern Asian” concept was to utilize furniture to define boundaries within an open layout, ensuring that the dining environment retained a sense of warmth and comfort despite being enveloped by stark industrial materials such as perforated metal and ceramic tiles.

To address these challenges, our factory implemented a strategy centered on “color gravity balancing” and the integration of semi-transparent, flexible partitions. To counteract the intense visual impact of the peach-orange palette, we developed a low-chroma matte wood finishing technique; this involved treating table surfaces with neutral, light wood tones, utilizing the natural texture of the grain as a “visual buffer” to temper the vividness of the ceiling. Regarding spatial zoning, we precision-engineered a system of slender black metal frames embedded with semi-transparent textured glass. Serving as an extension of the furniture structure itself, this system not only facilitated a lightweight physical separation between zones but also eliminated visual clutter through the seamless integration of furniture and shelving units. Finally, to meet the distinct durability requirements of the children’s area and VIP rooms, we implemented rigorous testing protocols for fabric color fidelity and abrasion resistance, ensuring that our upholstered materials retained their true colors within the bright orange environment while offering exceptional stain resistance and ease of cleaning. The project results demonstrate that the custom-made furniture successfully transformed the vibrant peach-colored ceiling into the unifying focal point of the space; the introduction of wooden furnishings, meanwhile, harmonized the high-contrast color palette while adding depth and layering.
